April 20, 2025
On April 16, 2025, American International University (AIU) welcomed over 600 students and 30 leading companies to its third annual Career Fair at the university’s campus. This flagship event united recruiters from major local and multinational organizations across finance, aviation, healthcare, logistics, and technology, offering students direct access to internships, job openings, on-the-spot résumé feedback, and hands-on workshops.
AIU students converged on campus to explore career pathways and network with recruiters representing 30 top firms. Attendees toured company booths, learned about open roles, discussed corporate culture, and gained clarity on the skills and qualifications employers seek. From soon-to-be graduates to underclassmen, students turned academic insights into practical guidance for their future careers.
Participating Companies and Industries
Among the 30 distinguished organizations were:
National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and Kuwait Finance House (KFH) in banking and finance
Jazeera Airways and Air Arabia in aviation
National Aviation Services (NAS) in ground handling and cargo services
Advanced Technology Company (ATC) in healthcare and environmental solutions
These employers spanned key growth sectors—banking and finance, aviation, logistics, healthcare technology, and environmental services—providing students with a comprehensive view of Kuwait’s evolving job market.
Throughout the day, students participated in interactive workshops on résumé writing, mock interviews, and strategic career planning. They learned how to tailor résumés to specific roles, craft engaging elevator pitches, and practice real-world interview scenarios. Networking tips and follow-up strategies helped attendees build confidence, secure interview invitations, and develop clear action plans for internships and future employment.
Building on this year’s success, AIU plans to expand next year’s Career Fair by inviting over 40 companies and introducing sector-specific breakout sessions to deepen industry engagement. As AIU continues to bridge the gap between education and employment, events like the Career Fair remain central to equipping graduates with the skills, connections, and confidence needed to thrive in a competitive global economy.
